A beautiful song I happened to find on Spotify.
When you emulate something (like a game) you’re recreating something. Getting something back from the past and bringing it to the here and now. And so… the narrator of the song wishes to a certain time, and a certain someone…
There’s no concrete story here. Just a general feeling of wanting to see someone again, but only being able to in dreams.
Notes:
- 刻まれた傷が築いた教訓を(刻んだ)
- The 刻んだ at the end is more like (made an engraving/record of), but I used the game-save terminology just to fit with the motif of the song.
- edit: it looks like the official soundcloud upload has a rough english translation as well, so I’ve reworked my own lyrics using that as reference (for example, the intended use of ように)
